Steve Deptula - Park Slope

(Braden) "My son Erik at 8 years old started guitar lessons with Braden in January of 2005 and couldn't play a note. Today he is a rock guitar wizard playing Green Day, Led Zep, Hendrix and the like. I highly recommend Braden."

Michelle McAmis

(Tyler) "Tyler is the Best. My 8yr old son Nick has had other teachers and he lost interest in playing. As soon as he met Tyler he loved his lessons ever since. I believe its in part because Tyler has a special way with children and focuses on the love of music which is hard to resist!"

Amanda Pike - Windsor Terrace

(Amanda's daughters take lessons with Martha, Rebecca, and Braden. She sums it up in one sentence:) "All our favorite teachers."

Betty Liebler - Boerum Hill

(Braden) "Braden has been a real inspiration and support for my daughter - he has nurtured a broad range of skills, encouraged her to try new things, and talked with her about music-related subjects (such as bands/musicians, public schools with good music programs, websites, etc.). He has been very accessible and flexible for me, as a mother - willing to reschedule and work on specific challenges we might request (such as how to audition for public schools). I have recommended him many times and continue to do so enthusiastically."

Sharon DeMartini

(Tyler) "Luke has really enjoyed his piano lessons with Tyler. Tyler did a great job of keeping Luke focused and engaged during the lesson, but also seemed to know when to change direction in the lessons. Thank you for inspiring Luke to continue with his music."

Eliza Liebler - 8th grade - Boerum Hill

(Braden) "I started taking guitar in 4th grade so its been 4 years with him, he's made the idea of music so much more fun for me than my piano teacher ever did. I get to pick the songs I want to do and he shows me new techniques on how to play each song or how to improvise. Whenever I get to a hard part, he makes me go through it a million times till I get it right. When I'm at home I can just put down the guitar if I can't get the hard part because I know when I get back to class Braden can teach me that part again until I get it right. He also likes to challenge me because he knows that I can handle it even if I don't think I can. And that's been the best part because having him push me into harder and more difficult situations is something I really need."

Jeffrey Kastner - Park Slope

(Chris) "While I've got you, another thing both Mona and I wanted to make sure you knew was how much we appreciate the way you've been working with Sam. It's a real credit to your approach that he's been sticking with this (despite his limited practicing...) the way he has. We're going to be seeing my closest friend (his "Uncle" John, who he's probably mentioned to you) while we're away, and he's a musician and Sam is incredibly jazzed up about the idea of being able to surprise him with his rendition of White Stripes. It's the first time he's actually had a little taste of what it feels like to be able play an instrument and produce something that is meaningful to him with it -- those kinds of moments go a long way in giving a kid a life-long love of music and a real shot at learning something. It's great and I know how much your work is responsible for it..."

Luke Demartini

(Tyler) "I'm having fun!"
